About Us

Jennifer and I have been living and working in Cambodia since July, 2009. We are Peace Corps volunteers, part of the third group to work in Cambodia. Our primary job is teaching English to high school students and our English teaching counterparts, though we often engage in other projects time permitting.

Our town, Kampong Trach, is the capital of a small, rural district in southern Cambodia on the border of Vietnam. It is nestled amidst rice fields and limestone mountains. Most people still live as subsistence rice farmers without electricity and running water, though a burgeoning merchant class lives within the district capital.

Life is good in Kampong Trach. We live above our landlord and her son. Our house is spacious and cheerful. We’ve come to know many people in our community and after these many months have begun to feel at home here.

Visitors are always welcome!
